Episode 33: The Most Overrated Legend
Welcome back to another week of our brand of foolishness! Before getting into the sports we introduced our mini audience, found out that Tim thought the Super Bowl was on a Monday, and discussed the “Florida Man” meme. As usual, we covered a wide range of topics on this episode, including the NFL, NBA, and WWE. You can listen to this episode via iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and Soundcloud; you can also skip ahead to the topic of your choosing by clicking on the corresponding time stamp(s).
We kicked things off by discussing the biggest stories from the Wildcard Weekend (00:12:08), followed by us discussing Jon Gruden securing the bag (00:15:46), Yannick Ngakoue’s accusation against Richie Incognito (00:17:21), and how we feel about the ESPN article about the Patriot’s self-imploding (00:19:49). We finished things up by discussing how the Browns threw a parade celebrating their 0-16 season (00:22:51), the Bears new head coach (00:26:26), and who we think will win the Divisional Round of the playoffs (00:27:57).
A conversation discussing if Paul Pierce was in his chest body about Isaiah Thomas’s tribute video turned into something far more (00:30:19). After the Paul Pierce/hip hop conversation, we discussed the first returns of the NBA All-Star fan votes (00:40:10), everything going on with LaVar Ball, Jamil Wilson and the Lakers (00:42:36), and if Kristaps Porzingis was wrong for admitted that he was tired (00:47:51).
We had to go back to LA to discuss the latest with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (00:51:52) before giving props to John Wall for his new shoe deal (00:52:41). We ended this topic conversation by discussing the Serge Ibaka - James Johnson “fight” (00:53:23) and the latest in NBA injury news (00:54:55).
