The sports news cycle was a little slow this week, but we can through with some heat regardless. Before getting into the show we talked about how our Valentine’s Day weekends went, Camille’s love of turkey bacon, and how emotional children can be for no reason. As usual, we covered a wide range of topics on this episode, including the NFL, NBA, WWE, MLB, and Olympics. You can listen to this episode via iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and Soundcloud; you can also skip ahead to the topic of your choosing by clicking on the corresponding time stamp(s).
NBA All-Star Weekend came and went so we recapped the weekend (00:12:05) then we addressed the Sports Illustrated article about the Dallas Maverick’s toxic culture (00:28:20) before switching gears and discussing the idea of seeding the playoffs 1-16 regardless of conference (00:36:00). We finished the NBA conversation by discussing the Jeff Hornacek/Joakim Noah beef (00:42:42), the latest transactions (00:43:58) and why we think NBA ratings are up across the board (00:46:49).
We started the NFL topic discussion by reacting to Bill Polian’s comments on Lamar Jackson (00:49:35), discussing the latest injury news (00:52:51), and talking about some changes that the Chicago Bears have made this offseason (00:54:58). We finished up by discussing the Kansas City Chiefs looking to trade CB Marcus Peters (00:55:55), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cutting RB Doug Martin (00:56:46), and the Miami Dolphins using the non-exclusive franchise tag on WR Jarvis Landry (00:57:25).

Omar: What’s up with Kirk Cousins trying to get a fully guaranteed contract? And what’s your reaction to Nikola Jokic’s first half triple double against the Bucks? (01:06:32)
