Episode 63: Strooooke!!
We play ALL day and this episode started with us learning some truly fascinating about Tim. As usual, we covered a wide range of topics on this episode, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and WWE. You can listen to this episode via iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and Soundcloud; you can also skip ahead to the topic of your choosing by clicking on the corresponding time stamp(s).
The NCAA is talking big ish about rule changes...but is it really that meaningful? This conversation kicked off this week’s show (00:13:45). Next, we talked about HBO Hard Knocks (00:17:40), how Last Chance U has helped Coach Brown recruit (00:26:48), and if any NBA teams have too many or too few national games (00:28:02). Unfortunately, the Las Vegas Aces had to forfeit a game due to travel so we discussed how unfair travel is for those players (00:34:22). After that we discussed Tiger Woods finishing second at the PGA Championship (00:36:00), a perk for Cleveland Brown fans in Cleveland (00:38:56), and the current MLB playoff standings (00:40:28).
A clip of Isaiah Thomas talking about Cleveland has caused some controversy so we discussed if those comments were taking out of context (00:42:58) before discussing some incoming NBA rookie beef (00:45:16). Next, we talked about the Clippers deciding to not renew Bruce Bowen’s contract (00:48:24), the Dallas Wings firing their head coach (00:52:33), as well as NFL transactions (00:53:50) and NFL rumors (00:54:31). We then discussed how much we’d pay for signed sport merchandise (00:57:32), Carmelo Anthony officially signing with the Houston Rockets (00:59:58), and if Le’Veon Bell’s EP was hot or not (01:01:56).
Do Vince Carter and D. Wade still have anything to offer NBA teams? We discussed that question (01:05:11) before previewing WWE Summerslam (01:07:11), mentioning Lindsay Whalen’s upcoming retirement (01:11:30), and Bartolo Colon setting the record for the most wins by a Latin American pitcher (01:13:12). We finished things up by discussing the Thanksgiving showdown between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson (01:14:01), Terrell Owens skipping the HOF ceremony (01:15:07), Johnny Maziel’s CFL debut (01:16:12), and an Air Jordan trafficking case (01:16:49).
HEADING INTO OVERTIME
We cut on Facebook Live and then went to our TECKnical Foul Pod: Overtime Facebook group to respond to listener questions from the following:
Triple T: Can y’all discuss Dwight Howard’s recent aspirations to be KD/AD this late in his career (01:19:46)

Cartwheelin’ Mo: If y’all plan to attend any NFL games this season will you stand for the national anthem? (01:24:58)
We reviewed the results of last week’s #TECKTop5 poll that Eric won (01:27:12) before we dropped our #TECKTop5 Top Sport Events/Moments We Wish Social Media Existed For (01:28:40). To drop your own #TECKTop5 or to vote on the poll, make sure that you are a member of our TECKnical Foul Pod: Overtime Facebook group.
(01:38:02) We wrapped things up by dropping our social media handles and saying our goodbyes. Thanks for listening, remember to share the show with your friends, and check back in next week!
