Without the “K” in TECK Foul this week, someone on the show decided to turn up a bit more than normal (I bet you can guess who that was). Before getting into the show we talked about the latest with the 2K League, Camille’s struggles of juggling everything right now, and how kids are walking germ factories. As usual, we covered a wide range of topics on this episode, including the NFL, NBA, WWE, and NCAA. You can listen to this episode via iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and Soundcloud; you can also skip ahead to the topic of your choosing by clicking on the corresponding time stamp(s).
Kicked off the NBA topic discussion by highlighting the latest in injury news and discussing whose injury saga has been weirder: Markelle Fultz or Kawhi Leonard (00:07:23). Next, we discussed if Zaza Pachulia truly is a dirty player (00:12:26) which led into “Storytime with Tim” as he told us his experiences in a shootout (00:14:26). After getting somewhat back on track, we discussed some record setting play in the NBA which ended in a little shade and NBA tier discussions (00:18:23).
Instead of visiting the White House, the Golden State Warriors went a different route so we discussed that (00:22:58) and Kevin Durant’s $10 million dollar pledge (00:26:30). After that we discussed the NBA launching a confidential hotline to report workplace issues and sexual harassment (00:27:36) and Adam Silver’s warning to teams about tanking (00:28:12). We finished this topic discussion up by discussing the latest signings/buyouts (00:31:36), some coaching rumors (00:33:04), and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame finalists (00:36:26) which led into some Wakanda and church rants.
The Kansas City Chiefs traded Marcus Peters to the Las Angeles Rams and he had some words about it so we unpacked that (00:40:22). We then talked about the latest transactions in the league including Matt Forte’s retirement (00:43:31) before discussing mental health and what’s going on with Jonathan Martin (00:47:44). After that we discussed the NFL competition committee thinking of eliminating the “going to the ground” catch rule and making changes to defensive pass interference calls (00:52:33) and Roger Goodell fining Jerry Jones (00:55:03). We finished up the NFL topic discussion by talking about how Pizza Hut has replaced Papa John’s as the NFL’s official pizza sponsor (00:56:08).
There wasn’t much to discuss here so we quickly hit a few topics. The Elimination Chamber PPV happened...so we discussed it (01:00:16) as well as the rumor that Rey Mysterio is returning (01:02:06) and Bobby Lashley resigning with the WWE (01:02:40). We finished things up by discussing what it could mean for WWE to move to FOX (01:04:14), Rob Gronkowski possibly joining WWE (01:05:45) and some expected changes with the upcoming Andre The Giant Battle Royale (01:06:47).

Beta Male: What are your NBA playoff standings predictions from 1-8 in both conferences? (01:18:30)

We reviewed the results of last week’s #TECKTop5 poll that Ken won (01:32:15) before we dropped our #TECKTop5 Greatest Starter Jackets (01:34:46). To drop your own #TECKTop5 or to vote on the poll, make sure that you are a member of our TECKnical Foul Pod: Overtime Facebook group.
(01:40:39) We wrapped things up by dropping our social media handles, trying to call Ken (again) and saying goodbyes. Thanks for listening, remember to share the show with your friends, and check back in next week!
